Se intampla uneori sa nu ai timp, sau sa nu ai ingrediente necesare pentru o gustare complicata, si sa trebuiasca sa improvizezi cu ce ai prin frigider. Atunci eu dau iama in conserve. Le combin intre ele, si mai arunc si niste legume in mijloc, si pac iese un fel de mancare usor de facut si delicios. O sa-l numesc: Salata de cartofi cu ton.

Ingrediente:

– 4-5 cartofi mari, fierti si decojiti;
– o conserva de ton, bucati intregi;
– o conserva de porumb;
– o jumatate de ceapa rosie;
– masline kalamata;
– o lamaie;
– pentru maioneza: galbenus de ou, o lingurita mustar, ulei, smantana, sare si piper.

Intr-un bol se amesteca toate cele: cartofii fierti, taiati cubulete, cu porumbul, tonul, ceapa rosie taiata pestisori si maslinele kalamata. Se stoarce putin lamaie si se pune putina sare si piper.
Separat am facut maioneza, clasic, am pus in plus aproximativ 3 linguri de smantana, ca sa fie mai cremoasa.
Am pus maioneza peste ingrediente, si am amestecat bine. Am lasat-o putin la frigider. E o salata rece. Merge si ca si garnitura, dar si ca o gustare de sine statatoare. Simplu si gustos. Pofta!

Sometimes, when you have no time for elaborate cooking, or you are before shopping day, you have to adapt and improvize with what you find at hand. I usualy attack the canned goods. I add some fresh veggies, and there you have it, a simple and tasty dish. I will call it: Tuna and potato salad.

Ingredients:

– 4-5 large boiled potatoes;
– a can of tuna, chunks;
– a can of corn;
– a half of red onion;
– kalamata olives;
– one lemon;
– for mayo: one egg yolk, a teaspoon of mustard, oil, cream, salt and pepper.

Add everything into a bowl: boiled potatoes – sliced, the corn, the tuna, the red onion – sliced, and the olives. Pour some lemon juice and add some salt and pepper.
Make the mayo, the classic recipe, only add some cream, about 3 spoons, to make it smoother.
Put the mayo on top of the ingredients, and mix everything together. Let it cool in the fridge a little bit. It’s best served cold, like a side dish, or even as a main dish. It’s simple to make, and very tasty. Enjoy!
